Your Bing Ads performance, read and explained by your AI assistant

Connect your Microsoft Advertising account once. Then ask which campaigns made money last month, which keywords waste budget, what people searched before they clicked your ads, and how phones compare to computers, in every account you can open. Builders HQ only reads: it cannot change, pause or create anything.

A conversation: someone asks "How did my Bing Ads campaigns do last month? Which ones deserve more budget?"; the assistant calls Builders HQ's ad_performance tool and answers with a table (Campaign, Spend, Clicks, CPC, Conversions, Revenue, ROAS). Shopping carried the month, turning $3,121 into $12,616, and Brand returns $18 for every $1. Competitors spent $958 for 9 sales worth $702: cut its bids or pause it, and move that budget to Shopping.
Example data for a made-up shoe shop: your own answer shows your campaigns. The assistant called ad_performance with source: "bing_ads", level: "campaign", range: "last_month".

Why it is hard today

Reports are built, not asked

In Microsoft Advertising, "which search terms cost money and never converted" is a custom report: pick the columns and dates, run it, download it, open a spreadsheet.

Numbers still need reading

A report is rows of spend and clicks. Working out ROAS and cost per conversion, and deciding what to change, is still your job.

One account at a time

Agencies and businesses with several brands switch accounts and run the same report again in each one.

Bing gets left for later

Google Ads gets the attention, so the Bing account runs on old bids and nobody notices the campaign that stopped paying off.

How it works

  1. Add https://buildershq.net/mcp to your assistant and sign in with Google.
  2. On your account page, press Connect Microsoft Advertising and sign in with the Microsoft account you use at ads.microsoft.com.
  3. Ask in plain words. Your assistant picks the report, the period and the breakdown, reads the numbers and suggests what to change. Making the changes stays with you.

Questions

Can it change my campaigns?

No. Builders HQ only reads from Microsoft Advertising: accounts, campaign settings and reports. It has no way to create, edit, pause or delete anything, so every change stays in your hands.

Which accounts can I see?

Every Microsoft Advertising account that the Microsoft user you sign in with can open. When there is more than one, name the account in your question.

How far back does it go?

As far as Microsoft keeps daily numbers: about the last 36 months. Ask for periods like "last month" or "this quarter", or for exact dates.

Who can see my numbers?

Only you. Your Microsoft sign-in is encrypted with keys in Azure Key Vault and renews itself, and your answers are cached for your account only. Disconnect it on your account page at any time.

Is this the Bing keyword planner?

No. Bing keyword volumes and forecasts (source "microsoft_ads") come from Microsoft's planner and need no connection. Bing Ads reporting (source "bing_ads") reads your own campaigns and needs your sign-in.

Does it count against the free beta limit?

Each report or list your assistant asks for is one call toward the 300 a day. Answers already asked today come from the cache and cost nothing.

Try it in your assistant

Free while in beta. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and any client that supports remote MCP servers.
